Today we are in Jersey- on the docks- just over the river from beautiful PHILLY! We were in Philadelphia for a while stuck in traffic yesterday so I have a few shots. I love this place!! It hurts my heart that such a beautiful city, with so much history, is filled with so much crime. I guess it’s just the world we live in.

I took these this morning from the other side of the river- in Gloucester.

Breakfast this morning from a food truck. Love the food trucks!! I had a sausage, egg, and cheese hoagie. It was delicious!!

The rest of these pics are just random I took from the interstate yesterday. I love the skyline. I think it’s my favorite one so far.

Welcome June!!

Well we started out in Maryland this morning and headed to Atlanta. So many miles- I did not take many pics but I took a few in the mountains. While I had my head in a book- hubby saw 2 Lamborghinis, and a Lynyrd Skynyrd truck. I saw the WWE Smackdown truck but too late to get a pic. There’s always next time.  A little explanation- the giant peach/butt water tower is in Gaffney, SC. Evidently it’s getting a paint job. The dog is ours. Sweetest little road dog ever. And the ladder pic- who in the SAM HILL needs this many ladders?? 😂😂😂

Book Reviews

The Playground- A Book Review

Okay so this is a little different. I read a book today called The Playground. It was written by Shannon T. Heuston. This book followed the author from middle school through adulthood and it is about bullying. It hit me hard in so many places because I was bullied. I never really called it that, because I never talked to anyone about it. I didn’t really talk to anyone about my problems, and I still don’t. Very few folks I confide in, and at this time  not going to share any of my personal experiences. Maybe another day- who knows?! This book reveals a lot of interesting theories about being bullied. One thing I was actually just telling my husband a couple of days ago. So many folks get bullied and just mistreated all the way around because we are not teaching our children to be kind to other people. We should be kind to others who don’t share our same opinions or religious beliefs; to people that don’t have much money and people who aren’t smart; and most of all to people who are unkind to others- if for no other reason than to try to set an example. This is what good people do. I guess the main thing I picked up, and I don’t think she actually said this, but rather I picked up on it and have seen it to be true in several cases. Once you have been bullied, it’s easy to fall in with the same types of people and allow yourself to be bullied over and over because that’s normal to you. Now I’m not going to tell a lot of details of the story. To some extent, this was a true story. It was interesting and very well written. There was some language in the book, and a lot of graphic sex details. If this offends you, don’t even try to read it. If you want to get some insight into this epidemic, this is a must read. Two thumbs up.

I love to read. And since I have nothing but time on my hands, I thought I’d give this reviewing a shot. Give me some feedback- I may make this a regular thing. Have a wonderful Memorial Day y’all!!

Love these Mountains OMG!!!

Seriously y’all- I could never get tired of  Looking at these mountains.   I’m constantly astounded by the beauty of them- and the Glory of the God who made them- evident when you see these beauties. I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life. Once you give it all to God- no matter how many times you’ve fallen away from Him- He ALWAYS blesses us above and beyond. This life I’m living is a dream for me. I love to travel. We. Ever know where we will be going next- and I love the excitement and the anticipation of it all. Most of all- this is what I love. Seeing these mountains and being with the love of my life 24/7. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I pray you all have a BLESSED weekend!!

Delaware River

If y’all stick around for any time at all, you will see that I LOVE big bridges. And wouldn’t you know it- my husband HATES them!   Water has a very calming effect on me- whether it be a river, ocean, lake or even a creek. I love water. These pics were taken at the Delaware River and the Delaware Memorial Bridge.

I also LOVE cars- I snapped a pic of this Maserati at a rest stop in NJ. (My Maserati does 185…)

Y’all- I love my life. Going from place to place, and not knowing where we will end up next- it is truly a lot of fun. And the fact that I get to do all of it with my husband- my best friend- just makes it that much better. But if I’m honest- I miss home. Well not necessary  the place, but the people. My kids, my sisters and parents, and my nieces and nephews. Back at Christmas, my niece asked me to get Snapchat. I had already had Snapchat once but never quite figured out how to use all of it. When she asked me to use it though, I jumped on the chance. And it has been such a blessing. When I’m missing home, or feeling bad about myself, I can always count on them to perk me up. Here are just a few examples. (Yes, I screenshot a lot of the pics they send me. They’re just so dang cute!!)

Good Sunday morning from Alabama! When I was a teenager, I desperately wanted to LIVE in Alabama- because I was completely obsessed with the music group by the same name. Needless to say, that was a long time ago!! I never moved here, and my obsession with Randy Owen has died down somewhat (LOL)- but there’s still some beautiful country here. I love the way the clouds look this morning! 😍
